Terms of Use

These terms are a contract between you and Snippit TV ("Snippit," "we," "us") covering the Snippit mobile app and this website. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use Snippit.

Snippit lets you capture or share screenshots that mention movies and TV shows; our AI reads the title, looks it up on TMDB, and saves it to your personal library with public metadata like posters, genres, and streaming availability.

AI identification is automated and occasionally imperfect — a title may be misread or unmatched. Streaming availability comes from third-party data and can be out of date. Snippit is a convenience, not a guarantee of accuracy.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Snippit.
• If you are under 18, you may use Snippit only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
• Purchases must be made by an adult, or by a minor with the permission of the adult who owns the App Store or Google Play account being charged.
• Keep your credentials secure — you're responsible for activity on your account.
• Provide accurate information when you register, and keep it current.

We never handle your card. All payments are processed by Apple or Google against the store account signed in on your device.

The free tier includes 20 lifetime saves. Saves are counted when a title is successfully saved; deleting or archiving titles does not refund saves. Saved titles remain viewable without a subscription.

Snippit Premium unlocks unlimited saves via an auto-renewing subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play:

• Annual: $29.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
• Monthly: $5.99 per month, no trial.

Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account. A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings — deleting the app or deleting your Snippit account does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. If prices change, we'll provide notice as required by the stores before any renewal at a new price.

• Don't abuse the service — no automated scraping, bulk scanning, or attempts to circumvent save limits or rate limits.
• Don't submit images you have no right to share, or content that is unlawful.
• Don't reverse engineer, resell, or interfere with the service.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

The Snippit app, brand, and site are ours. Title metadata and artwork come from TMDB: This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Streaming availability data is provided by JustWatch. Screenshots you submit remain yours — you grant us a limited license to process each image solely to identify the title and provide the service (see the Privacy Policy; images are processed transiently and not stored).

Snippit is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every title will be identified correctly.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Snippit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

You can stop using Snippit and delete your account in-app at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Meaningful changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date, and significant changes noted in the app. Continuing to use Snippit after changes take effect means you accept them.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Melissa Taylor Home LLC and its officers and employees from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of Snippit, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or of anyone else's rights.

This does not apply to claims caused by our own acts or omissions, and nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law where you live.

Please read this section — it affects how disputes between us are resolved. Except as set out below, you and Melissa Taylor Home LLC agree to resolve any dispute arising from these terms or from Snippit by individual binding arbitration, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court.

Class actions are waived. Disputes are brought individually — not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated or representative proceeding.

Small claims are excluded. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead, and either of us may seek an injunction to protect intellectual property.

You can opt out within 30 days. Email support@snippit.tv within 30 days of first accepting these terms, saying you opt out of arbitration. That is all it takes — it costs you nothing, and nothing else about your account changes.

This section does not apply where the law where you live prohibits it. Consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom keep their right to bring proceedings in their local courts.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts located in New Jersey.

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or anywhere else whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, that right is unaffected — this clause does not deprive you of protections that cannot be contracted away.
